Bodhi Vruksha Society for Development is a registered non-governmental organisation based in Mysore, Karnataka. Established in 2021, the organisation works with the vision of creating sustainable partnerships that bring together human development, environmental conservation, and social progress.
Our motto, “Prosperity with Nature,” reflects our core belief that development must not come at the cost of nature. Instead, nature must be protected, restored, and strengthened as a foundation for long-term human well-being.
To build a society where people, communities, and nature grow together through sustainable development, ecological restoration, and responsible partnerships.
To initiate and implement best practices in nature conservation, education, health, pollution reduction, alternative energy awareness, and quality-of-life improvement, making these benefits accessible and affordable to all citizens of India.
Bodhi Vruksha Society for Development is led by President Dr. Mysore Satish Chandra and supported by a committed seven-member team. The organisation brings together professionals and social development experts, many with doctoral-level academic backgrounds, who are dedicated to public service and nation-building.
Our team works with a clear purpose: to create visible, measurable, and sustainable impact through carefully planned projects and responsible execution.
We design and implement large-scale plantation projects using scientific methods, suitable local species, and long-term care plans.
We combine plantation work with water conservation by creating small ponds and trenches that help improve groundwater levels.
We organise special talks, public events, environmental days, and community awareness programmes to promote responsible environmental behaviour.
Through initiatives like the Parisara Prajna Award, we honour individuals and organisations contributing to environmental protection.
We support academic and cultural discussions through seminars and knowledge-sharing programmes.
Bodhi Vruksha Society does not believe in one-day plantation activities without follow-up. Our focus is on survival, maintenance, scientific planning, and measurable environmental impact.
We carefully select native and locally suitable plants, maintain the saplings, support groundwater recharge, and aim to create plantations that develop into self-sustaining green ecosystems.
Bodhi Vruksha Society for Development is a legally registered organisation with valid statutory registrations, including society registration, PAN, NGO Darpan registration, GST, CSR registration, LEI, and Income Tax 80G registration.
This enables donors, institutions, companies, and well-wishers to partner with us with trust and transparency.
A tree is more than a plant. It is shade, oxygen, water security, biodiversity, hope, and life.
At Bodhi Vruksha Society for Development, we are committed to planting not just trees, but a better future.
